Using Student Backup, file recovery is simple.
Click on the "Restore A Backup" button in the upper right hand corner of the Student Backup website, login to your account, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Student Backup will backup and protect all of your word processing (Word, WordPerfect, OpenOffice.org, and Pages), spreadsheet (Excel, Numbers), presentation (PowerPoint, Keynotes) and .PDF (Adobe Acrobat) files.
No other file extensions, such as music, video, or image files, will be backed up by our system.

What happens if my computer crashes, or is stolen?
Click on the "Restore A Backup" button in the upper right hand corner of the Student Backup home page (www.studentbackup.com), login to your account, and follow the on-screen instructions. The computer that you are attempting to restore to must be running one of the compatible operating systems. Have your username and password available and your computer connected to the Internet, and you will be able to restore your files.
Recovery Encryption Key: When trying to recover your files after a disaster and the recovery program asks for an Encryption Key, type in, without any dashes, the Serial Number you were given with your Student Backup program.
