Before you begin please note the following:
- During the installation, if your firewall or antivirus program requests permission [in a popup window] to allow StudentBackup access to the internet, you must select OK in order for StudentBackup to communicate and register with the StudentBackup server
- For VISTA users, depending on how you have set your User Account Control, you may have to answer “Continue” if a User Account Control dialogue window appears requesting permission to run the update program.
Please click here to download the update.
You will next see a File Download – Security Warning dialogue window.
Now select Run (or Open). (Do not select the Save option.)
You will next see an Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialogue window.
Now Select Run.
A Student Backup Patch 71005 dialogue window will appear with the message
“Student Backup patch has been applied.” It may only be visible for a few seconds, but don’t worry if you can’t finish reading it. The installation of the patch is complete.
Do the following to install the software:
- Make sure you are connected to the internet
- Insert the CD; go to Start, and then My Computer. Next, right click the CD drive. (By the SB icon, if it is visible)

- Please continue with the regular set up procedure written on the instructions that came with your CD starting with step #5.

of the StudentBackup Program
